The Local Area Network (LAN) is by far the most common type of data network. As the name suggests, a LAN serves a local area (typically the area of a floor of a building, but in some cases spanning large distances). Typical installations are in industrial plants, office buildings, education or similar locations. Every LAN infrastructure consists of wired or wireless connections using network hubs or switches.
Design and Implementation
We can design and implement simple LANs consisting of 1 network switch to more complex LANs which encompass multiple switches, wired and wireless including Virtual LANs (VLAN).
Trouble shooting and Network Traffic analysis
We can troubleshoot your existing set-up, utilising a number of LAN surveying tools and applications. Network traffic analysis helps building network trends as well as identifying potential areas of concern.
